Factories are great for making cars, and for providing abandoned buildings to stage climactic showdowns in our cops-and-robbers action movies. But when it comes to good food and a relaxing getaway, factories haven’t got anything on today's SocialShopper deal: $169 for a two-night stay for two people, including breakfast, a three course dining experience at the chef's table, complimentary wine and cheese at reception and a cooking class at Foxglove Inn & Gardens (value up to $438). Even a loose-cannon cop with a wisecrackin’ partner would be hard pressed to find a better deal on a gourmet getaway than what the folks at Foxglove Inn have cooked up. You and a guest get to enjoy two relaxing nights where you will be treated to gorgeous waterfront views and a daily continental breakfast. And if this were a regular old getaway, that would be the end of it. But with this deal, you also get to watch a gourmet cooking class from a master chef as well as a three-course dinner. High-adrenaline car chases will be the furthest thing from your mind at Foxglove Inn & Gardens. Relax, kick back, and learn some amazing recipes in a beautiful getaway hotel. While the helpful and professional staff turns your time into cherished memories, you’ll learn how to turn ordinary ingredients into extraordinary meals. Passing up a deal this good? Well that would just be criminal.

"A very relaxing place to stay. We will be returning soon"
- John FitzPatrick (Client Testimonials)

"Just spent a couple days at the Foxglove Inn & Gardens in Crofton. We had a beautiful nice day taking the BC Ferry over - beautiful scenery and saw a small pod of killer whales! What a start to a fabulous time. When we arrived at the Inn, we were surprised how big the property was, and the partial view of the ocean. There were ducks and birds on the grounds. The rooms were clean, nice and comfortable. Nancy, was so hospitable and so kind, and Hazel, and the Swedish man whom we had a nice talk with. We were given wine and cheese and crackers upon arrival. Beautiful inn with fireplace, dining room, etc, and soothing music and surroundings. We had a chef meal cooked for us the next night. It was very good and we had a lovely couple sharing our dinner at our table. The breakfasts were scrumptious, and everything was no nice. Thank you again Nancy for a wonderful time, and Hazel, and the Swedish man."

"We got a voucher from one of the on-line offers to Foxglove. I said to my husband 'It will either be terrible and we leave after the first night or will be a lot of fun". Well - it was a lot of fun. The evening started with a wine and cheese event which was really just a little social time with the only other couple in the inn that evening. In a wee bit the chef came to meet us and took us to the demo kitchen which was across the lawn. There she cooked for us an amazing meal and had us make the home made pasta for the meal. It was her last evening at the Foxglove before she drove east to move back to family and I could tell she liked her time working there. The room was very comfortable and spacious, and the common areas clean and comfortable. The decor is a bit like going to Grandma's house. This made sense when we were told by Bert that they initially set the inn up as a family style seniors home which means that the doors are wide enough for a wheelchair and the bathrooms larger too. Ideal if you had limited mobility. In the morning we were given a wonderful breakfast and encouraged to wander about the grounds which were large and well kept. I am not sure of the future of the Foxglove since it is for sale, but if it is still around the next time we are on the island I expect we will return."

Hi @Lauren, thanks for your patience! I have heard from the vendor and this was their reply: "Children/infants are of course always allowed. The only time we charge extra for children is if they require a separate bed and eat regular meals, otherwise there is no charge."

Hi @Kate, thanks for your inquiry! Unfortunately dogs are not permitted in The Gables rooms, which this deal is for. However, they do allow small dogs in the Inn rooms, if you wish to stay in these rooms instead, at ankle high height for $10 per night or knee high height for $15 per night and dogs must be well behaved, on leash and picked up after. I hope this helps!

Hi @Robert, thanks for your patience! I have heard from the vendor and they said that they ask for food allergies when the booking is made - the chef does their best to have something the person can eat but maybe not everything on the meal. I hope this helps!

Hi @Randy, thanks for your message. If you are referring to the reviews on tripadvisor, it was the loft that was posted for sale - however this deal is for a stay at The Gables, which is open and operating! Please also be advised that in the rare cases should any of SocialShopper's businesses close while vouchers are still valid, please contact us and we'll make sure you get your money back! I hope this helps.

I noticed in some reviews that the Inn is up for sale. What happens if it closes before I use my voucher?

Hi thank you for getting back to me. Can you tell me what's the name for Vancouver island terminal?

Trammie @socialshopper.com
Apr 8, 2015

Hi @Emily, thanks for your inquiry! There are actually 2 ferry options to get there, either via Horseshoe Bay or Tsawwassen, just depends on which one is closer to you. But also note that if you take the Tsawwassen route, there will be an additional ferry ride to get to Crofton. I hope this helps.
